Three of my girls dance here. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Heartland. The instruction is unsurpassed, and I am always confident that my girls are in a positive environment that teaches not only ballet, but also self-reliance, confidence, responsibility, and the value of hard work. I have two daughters dancing at HCD, ages 12 and 9. We switched to HCD when my oldest was 7, after being impressed by Heartland Youth Ballet's performance of "Happily Ever After." We visited an open house class and I witnessed them teaching at a high technical level, yet still sensed a desire to meet the student where he or she was, inspiring her to the next level without pushing in an unhealthy way. Since then, I have watched my daughters grow in confidence and self-discipline and believe HCD desires to come alongside each dancer and encourage them as a whole person. I am a former HCD student, and I'm excited to be returning as a teacher! There are a lot of things I love about this studio, from the open, friendly environment, to the lovely teachers, to the wealth of performance opportunities for HCD students. I recently graduated college with degrees in dance and anthropology, and I could not have gotten through my college career without the lessons I learned at Heartland about hard work, patience, and character. I'm so happy to be back, and I would 100% recommend this studio to anyone looking for somewhere to take classes in the metro area.
