We signed our purchase contract in December and our house was finished in October. Overall the experience was very good. We thought there was a clear systematic process that they walked us through from selections to change orders to final walk through. With all the details that goes into home building, we were actually surprised that everything we asked for was properly built/installed. We did not have to ask them to change out anything. We credit it to the due diligence paid by our superintendent Tom, our coordinator Teri and the other sub contractors and staff that we worked with. My wife and I built a home with Birchwood. Overall it was a good experience...like anything else building a home is a second job. But you have to keep on top of things. Company staff and site staff were extremely helpful. My wife and I had a personal meeting with Jerry and his planners. Contact with folks usually required one day turnaround and there were obstacles at times but they are busy like anyone else and obstacles happen with anything you do. We love our home and would build with Jerry again.
