Fortunately for us (in having a pre-winter inspection) he found a defective sequencer that was not allowing for full heat production in our main furnace. He patiently explained the nature of the defect, showed me the readings, what he recommends for repairs in a manner in which I could understand. An inspection of our secondary furnace (heat pump) indicated no problems with that unit. He cleaned out both of the external units for us.
