Initially was pleased and hopeful. Dealing with the sales guy was pleasant. Although some of the plans were disorganized and required several trips to the county people (I am by a highway and required a permit). My biggest concern is the terrible quality. I have replaced 5 pickets. I had to go back an properly fasten 7-8 pickets. One section of my fence was not properly fastened to posts and had to take the panel apart to replace. My dog was wandering the neighborhood. The cheap garbage fence panels used are already significantly weathered and make the fence look 10-15 years old. I was built last fall 2022. The gate was poorly built and I will likely be replacing that in next 1-2 years. This fence cost me 20000. So much money for such poor quality. Also they bit an underground cable - and that cable company sent me a bill for 12k. They told me that would be my responsibility. Fortunately I haven't heard anything more from the cable company. I held on to final payment trying to get some of these issues resolved - called and emailed multiple times and then got threaten with collections and a large fine. I just finally paid and fixed all the problems myself. I will never use American Fence again.

Terrible customer service, did our fence and put the posts In backwards also damaged our sprinkler line then when I called to have it replaced they said well you didn't pay the extra insurance for sprinkler repair! WTH we will never use this company again!

They put handle to gate on backwards so it opened from the outside. We thought we could live with it since it could open from either side. 3 years later when we discovered unwanted guests were opening and entering from the other side and we wanted to be able to padlock it, we asked them to correct it. They not only said it was out of warranty, which is possible, but didn't want to have anyone give an estimate for repair. Suggested we do it ourselves or have a grandson do it. Claimed they had no record of us ever doing business with us. I have invoices. And...since they knew we were old enough to have grandchildren, they MUST have known who we were. Poor customer service I would say.
