Sunshine Hospitality Home is a place of comfort, compassion, and convenience for patients and families traveling to Grand Forks for healthcare needs. It allows individuals to stay close to loved ones for care and support. The home is open to all, no matter the healthcare provider, for a stay as short as a morning or as long as needed. The staff is amazing, friendly, and welcoming, making guests feel like family. They are compassionate, considerate, and accommodating, even for very late arrivals. The rooms are nice and clean with comfortable beds. The home provides what is truly needed, offering a substantial program that reduces stress for families. It is a wonderful and real place worth support.
My wife fell in love with the Sunshine Hospitality Home this past year when she spent several nights there while I was in Altru with a severely fractured hip and then again when I had triple bypass surgery. The other day, I had the opportunity is understand why when I stayed there while my wife was in the hospital over night. It is not fancy, but the rooms are clean- clean! Spacious bathroom with handicapped tub and shower. Comfortable bed with extra homemade quilt for added warmth. Family room with comfortable couch and chairs to read or visit is available. I have just recently stayed here and it was so nice and staff was so friendly i honestly felt like I was staying with family very comfortable beds,rooms nice and clean, and we didn’t check in till like 1am and staff was ready for us from the hospital
I didn't grasp the concept that the Sunshine Home was also available to family members of those who are ill. I was thrilled to stay in your Roosevelt "Day Room" for one night. I didn't need a swimming pool and fancy breakfast bar because my main concern was my very ill brother. Paying a reduced fee also reduced my stress. I was provided that which I truly needed. Nancy is fabulous! And the night clerk was very welcoming when I breezed in after 11pm. Thank you, SO much! This is a very real and substantial program worth our donations. I plan to give regularly in the future.
