*Recent update is that when I was told my contacts would be shipped to me free of charge by the doctor, they said it was strictly to the place itself. That's kind of a no brainer. I have no transportation, so being this deceptive in speech is unacceptable.
Unfortunately, my visit left a lot to be desired. When I checked in, I was given the usual paperwork to fill out, but never got to finish. I was told the main doctor I saw was immune compromised, and thankfully, I was wearing a mask, and the young woman said he'd be wearing a mask as she took my temperature. He never wore a mask. He also cut me off a few times while I was speaking and had a very dominant tone that didn't sit well with me. He called me 'kid' and 'kiddo'. I'm a 34 year-old woman. We do not have that type of relationship. It made me feel revulsion. I then had to pay $60 for a contract lense fitting, but all I had was an eye exam, and I was not getting contacts that day, as they didn't have them on hand. Then, I went to pick out my glasses, which were supposed to be covered by my insurance fully, but they added on a $10 charge out of nowhere, claiming it was because of the lenses. It took an extra hour just to get the glasses. I would not recommend this place. It's a mess.

Dr woodmansee is passionate about his work. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain your eye health to you. I highly recommend him, I will not go to any other eye doctor as long as he is in practice.

I provided my health insurance information a month before my appointment only to find out after the appointment that they couldn't accept it. They got my 200 bucks but they won't get any more after that.

Highly recommend!! Dr. Woodmansee is incredibly knowledgeable in his field and took the time to explain everything that was going on with my eyes. I never felt rushed during the appointment and was treated very well. He sat down with me, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and made sure I fully understood.
While I’ve had great service at other offices, no one has ever taken the time that Dr. Woodmansee did to help me feel informed and cared for. He’s not only skilled and professional, but also very personable! I can't recommend him enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Please be aware that Family Eye Care contacted me at 4:25 PM the evening before my 7:45 AM appointment to inform me via voicemail that they are not in network with my insurance. This notice was given less than 24 hours in advance, despite their policy requiring the same from patients when canceling or rescheduling appointments.
I had previously confirmed my appointment, insurance, and personal details with their office on multiple occasions. To avoid being asked to pay out of pocket at the time of your visit, I strongly recommend verifying that they are in network with your insurance beforehand.

I've been seeing Dr. Woodmansee for 15 years. I've been in glasses for 32yrs total so I've been around the block with different Optometrists. I find that Dr.Woodmansee is very kind, he explains things in a way that's easy to understand. Is he perfect? No one is. Does he make mistakes? Everyone does. He explained my current eye issue very clearly, he stressed the importance of not jarring or jerking my head. I have moderate positional vertigo, I am very clumsy so I appreciate the stress he put caution. I like that he's short and to the point, he doesn't waste time. I'm also glad my condition is common.

I had been a patient of Dr. Woodmansee’s from 2007 to 2020. The only reason why I am not currently a patient is becauseI moved across the country. I cannot find an eye doctor as personal, professional, and thorough as him. I think I’ve tried three or four at this point and I’m pretty frustrated. The time he spends with you going over the anatomy of your eye, why you were seeing the way you are/aren’t and listening to your concerns is so hard to find! My son saw him from the age of five through 18 and I just finally now talked him into seeing a different eye doctor because his glasses broke several months ago. He moved across the country with us and refused to see anyone else and now sees a new person tomorrow. Oi vey…

Dr. Woodmansee is hands down the best optician I have ever seen. He takes the time to explain things to you in a manor you can understand. He truly is the best. Thank you so much Doc! If you’re looking for a new provider you won’t be disappointed. He is the best of the best in his practice.
