If you value your time, health, or sanity — go somewhere else. My husband’s nurse was polite but moved slower than the sloth from Zootopia. It would be funny if it wasn’t so frustrating.

They shuffle patients from one identical room to another like it’s some kind of game, wasting time for no reason. And don’t even get me started on the paperwork. A simple doctor’s note takes 5–10 business days? That’s beyond incompetent. My husband had to call repeatedly, only to finally get the wrong note. At this point, it feels like they make things harder on purpose.

My friend is having double knee replacement surgery in a few weeks, the VA said they would not come to his house a few days after surgery ( like everyone else in the country gets ) they expect him to do his own PT and change his own bandages and send them pictures? Are you kidding me?

Our VA is absolutely amazing. The doctors and staff are so helpful and so friendly. You're greeted by friendly receptionists and nurses. 3+ years and I've had nothing but 5 star experiences here. I feel bad for those that aren't veterans and have to use Sanfords or CHI ????. Keep up the good work, Dickinson VA. The veteran community really appreciates everything you do for us.
