Nothing could have prepared me for the phone call. I received on Sunday afternoon July 26, 2026, Telling me that my husband was dead. We had been together for 47 years. That’s a lot of life! He was in a nursing home/rehabilitation center receiving physical therapy and occupational therapy. His discharge papers to come home were being processed.
