My husband had been feeling ill for a couple of days. I took him to the ER and expressed how he was feeling. The guy came around to him asked a few questions and we went right in. Set in the lobby about fifteen minutes and he was going into a room. The doctor came in and accessed him and admitted him. The ER was filled to capacity, actually over capacitated. The care that they gave him was over and beyond. The same night he was moved into another room in the ER. The care was also amazing. He was comfortable and they were very attentive. Had a decent ish experience this past weekend. Hospital was extremely busy which is no fault of their own, cleanliness could have been better for a medical facility. However, a receptionist named Nancy was extremely rude when I tried to call and get an update on my partner that was in surgery this morning. I understand medical staff is overworked but would assume some level of professionalism to be expected from someone who’s job is to facilitate calls and forward to correct depts, unfortunately that was not the case here.
Care from receiving, doctors, nurses, NA’s and surgery staff was great!! My only concern was cleanliness of room I was put in after surgery. I feel more attention should be placed on sanitary and cleanliness of rooms a patient is put in after surgery as infection is the biggest concern at this time.
