Hands down the best nail salon in Wilmington…
I have been to Mani Q four or five times now for dip manicures and the experience I had tonight was not what I usually experience at all. I had a female nail tech who was wearing a navy sweater, unsure of her name. First and foremost, I asked if she could clean up my cuticles and she proceeded to basically rip my cuticles off with the clipper and still missed half of what needed to be removed. Answered/checked her personal phone 3 different times in the hour it took her to do my nails. Filed one nail so much that it started to bleed then put some kind of powder on my open wound WITHOUT SAYING A WORD TO ME while 2 of her coworkers stood around her staring at my nails and again, not saying a word to me. She was using a big, rectangular nail file when she cut me that obviously had been used previously and was obviously not the right file for what she was doing because her coworker handed her a different, smaller one to use. Never asked me how I’d like my nails shaped until I said something to her. The nails I was left with are thick, uneven and with residue all over my fingers on both hands. I happened to look at the price list which states that a dip manicure is $40 and a dip manicure they have to take off the old dip and put on new is $45. I had NOTHING on my nails when I walked into the salon and was still charged $45. She also managed to scrape every ring on my hands including my brand new engagement ring. Needless to say, I will not be returning.
