These wonderful people are pure angels. Last year was really rough for my family and I. We took 3 major losses. My cousins and my grandma. Shortly after I got a diagnosis of Chari Malformation type 1. Shortly after I met with a Dr at Duke that originally stated it would be months before a surgery. The next day I received a call saying I needed brain surgery and that I had 12 days to get my affairs in order. ( keep reading and I’ll tell you about these amazing folks at LOD) I had my brain surgery on 3/21/24. The doctor told my family that I should be wheel chair bound and that I should’ve had multiple strokes. Through this process I had to pay thousands out of pocket to make sure I was still around for my children bc I’m all they have. After getting better I decided to focus on my teeth. I searched for months and found Live oak after reading some recommendations on Facebook. I had my initial visit and cried with my hygienist she was wonderful. But I recently went back for what I thought was a regular cleaning. After getting checked in and going to the back I encounter Robi (forgive me if I have her name wrong—brain surgery). She explained it was a deep cleaning and that there would be an out of pocket fee. But prior to the appointment there I had an eye appointment for new glasses bc the pressure in my brain was messing with my eyesight. So I explained this and was preparing myself to leave. Robi asked me to hold on for a moment, before she stepped out of the room she placed a heart shaped bell in my hands and explain that angels still exist. Oh man I cried, is she had only knew… I just gave my life to Christ on 9/21. #lifepointchurchILM she said it every time I heard it, it was angels. Man did I feel safe! God definitely knew I needed her. A few moments later another nice lady from the front came by and told me not to worry that we would figure it out. Jesus I cried way more. Listen these people are amazing. They have been kind, non judgmental, caring and compassionate from the very first visit. It literally took me days to write this as I didn’t want to make it long and drawn out but these beautiful people deserve all the praise and I can’t think them enough for seeing me the human and not just another patient. I haven’t had my teeth taken care of since I was young from bad experiences. Me and my family have decided to make it priority now. I’m so glad we came to live oak. Everyone was very comforting place was clean and they came up with a great game plan for me going forward. My teeth feel great and I’m not nervous about going to the dentist anymore. 10/10 recommend!
