About Mercy Urgent Care Waynesville
Mercy Urgent Care is a local, non-profit organization that provides care for non-life threatening illnesses and injuries. They offer services like telemedicine, COVID-19 testing, flu shots, and occupational medicine. Patients appreciate the friendly and professional staff, including nurses and nurse practitioners. The clinic encourages online appointment scheduling as walk-ins are not typically accepted. Patients praise the clinic for its efficient service and quick availability, even on weekends. Mercy Urgent Care is known for providing care at a lower cost than an emergency room and contributes significantly to charity care locally and internationally.
Last time I was there, I believe in July, they told me they don’t make appointments. I went there yesterday and I guess they changed that policy. Once I got in, everyone did a great job!
There was a little bit of a wait after my scheduled appointment time, but the overall experience made up for it in the end, aided by the fact that I had enough time for the extra wait. The entire staff there was very polite and friendly. My nurse Christina was super pleasant, very efficient and thorough. Unfortunately I have to wait 2 years until I return (unless an unforseen circumstance arises), but I will definitely return and hopefully Christina is still practicing here. Thank you Mercy Urgent Care!
I was not feeling good at all and obviously I could not get a last minute appointment with my doctor so I decided to go to Mercy clinic. The staff was very nice and the nurse practitioner was great! You need to make an appointment on line as they are most likely going to be too busy to take a walk-in. And forget about calling to make an appointment, the clinic is not like a regular doctor’s office that way. Otherwise, they are very professional and helpful!
