I have lived in Waxhaw since 1972. During that time I would get my hair cut at various locations other than in Waxhaw. When Kathy Matthews joined Broome Barber Shop I stopped driving 20 to 30 miles to get my hair cut. She did a great job and cut my hair the way I wanted it instead of the way the barber wanted to do it. There were not many options in those early days. I stayed with Kathy until she decided to retire. Now Jonathan Kendall cuts my hair. Same great results. Even better now that you can schedule online. A great old fashioned barber shop (and Waxhaw's oldest business). The conversation is enjoyable and my haircut always looks sharp after a visit. It's my favorite place to get a cut, and by a long shot.
