Frank's Barber Shop
“I found Franks Barbershop ( and Frank) after I just came to work in Troy from Michigan . I asked about barbershops in town and I was directed to another shop. The barber there totally butchered my hair and I was ashamed to even be seen with such an absolute amateur haircut. So I found Frank and asked him if he could fix it. To my amazement he was able to salvage a good haircut . And he didn't charge me anything. 5 years later I still go to Frank for haircuts and can honestly say that I have never been to a better experienced barber in my life. I have had a few good ones but Frank is exceptional. He takes his time and does it right with hardly any direction. He is also very pleasant to hold conversations with - and he often has me in stitches with his humor. I tell him he's the second best barber in the history of North Carolina after Floyd the Barber on the classic Andy Griffith show. Sometimes if something is found to be a little off in my haircut the next day, I can go back and he fixes it with no charge. And his price is so low that it's like 1970. I tell him he has to charge more (it's more than half of what I pay in Michigan). I give him any least $5 more than what he asks for every time. Frank is a rare highly talented barber and I see him as a pleasant person too. Dont hesitate for a second to go to Frank's Barbershop in downtown Troy across from the side street next to the Old historic hotel coffee shop.”
