Scheduled appointment a month in advance. Got a call the day before and had a misunderstanding and canceled. Call back in 5 minutes and it wasn't an issue, they hadn't booked anyone so they just put me back on the schedule. Arrived at 9:30am for our 10am appointment. I wait at the counter for about 15 minutes while they help some others. They get to us and ask for name. They can't seem to locate our appointment. After a couple of minutes, she tells me that she found it, and my appointment was at 9:15am and it's now 9:50am so we'll have to reschedule. I'm very confused and question it because I thought the appointment was at 10am. They didn't seem interested so I left. I don't think they are interested in new patients and even if they are, turning away someone that shows up 15 minutes late from a misunderstanding... I'll find a vet that is more interested in building a relationship with me and my pets.

I’ve been taking my pets to Cope Creek for almost 4 years now and my experience every time is super great and I love them! Recently (yesterday) my senior dog who I’ve had for 15 years had 3 unexpected seizures within 24 hours. I called them when they opened Friday morning and they said the doctor was booked but they would see what they could do. They were able to let me drop him off for the doctor to examine him when she had time.
He ended up being worse off and Dr. Aiken was extremely kind and patient with me. I made the decision to put him to sleep and she was so open and honest about everything. I’ve never had to make a decision like that before, but her and the other staff’s kindness was immeasurable. They let me spend several minutes with him before they came in so I could say goodbye and talk to him. They did all of this even when I didn’t have an appointment. I wouldn’t have traded those last few minutes for anything and I am so grateful to Dr. Aiken and her staff for what they gave me.
I highly recommend Cope Creek Animal Hospital to anyone in the Sylva/Cullowhee area.

Caring staff, lovely facility. I was so thankful they had a work in appt available for my dtrs cat. Her move out of state was moved up by a few weeks so this was a prayer answered!!

They are BEYOND the best! They listen , they give you all the information about your pets procedure.They are caring, compassionate doctors. The staff is fantastic. There is not enough words to describe how wonderful Cope Creek vet is. ♥️♥️♥️

I have only been taking my pets to Cope Creek for a little over a year. I have to say they are fantastic, caring,compassionate people. With a great staff. My babies love Dr. Pryor. She is great, gives me all the info. On my pets procedures, great follow up. We will never see anyone else.

I can not truly describe the amount of disrespect and lack of compassion I have experienced at Cope Creek. I brought my dog in after a horrible accident and she didn't make it. This was sudden and unexpected. I chose to have her cremated. They promised they would get a paw print impression and a some of her hair. I begged for a stamp of her paw and told them I would come do it myself but by the time they told me they wouldn't do it, it was too late for me to come. I very specifically asked for them to cut and give me the hair behind her ears because it was the softest and my favorite place to pet her. When I received her ashes i was devastated the paw print impression is awful, they pushed their fingers all in the clay impression. And I'm not saying they accidentally got fingerprints around the paw, NO they smashed their finger over and over again in the paw print and ruined it. AND they didn't even cut the hair from behind her ears. I can't believe I actually trusted this place to respect my dog and my final wishes.
