I called late Friday afternoon because after I fixed a leak, my pump would not build up pressure and cut off. The owner of this company asked me to text him a picture. I did and called him back. He looked at it and told me what my problem was, assuring me that I could fix the problem which was indeed correct. He was kind enough to help me with no compensation. We hired Tarheel Wells to install an irrigation well, an irrigation system, and lay two pallets of sod about a year ago. Well and sprinkler are working great and the SOD looks great. The best part is Tarheel Wells was they didn’t try and sell a deep well—they aren’t necessary given most consumers’ needs. We don’t have iron in our water and our irrigation zoning was properly planned. I’d recommend them every time.

It's not easy to find help with sprinkler system problems in the summer, Tar Heel was easy to contact and stayed in touch. The work was professional and the technicians kept us up to date throughout the process. All of our questions were answered and they left our yard looking exactly as they found it when finished.

Our 15+ year old well pump failed the night before a large planned social event at our home during an unseasonal heat wave. The well services not only our irrigation system but also (and more significantly) our Florida heat pump for the hvac. Gary graciously recognized the urgency of the situation and arrived at our home with his crew less than a hour after we requested his emergency assistance. The crew completed the necessary repairs and submersible pump replacement in a couple of hours. Great job!Many thanks.

The day after we bought our home our well went out. I called our appliance warranty company. They told me that a company would contact me within 4 hours. This didn't happen. I got a special auth to use an outside company. Tar Heel Well Drilling. THESE GUYS ARE GREAT! I called them on EASTER WEEKEND! They came out on Easter Morning to hook me up to my neighbors water until they could get the parts on Monday.I have a new pump, a new tank and new piping! They even set the shut off valve in a place that I could reach! The last company who worked on this well had the shut off valve in the back of the tank, I am disabled and I couldn't have gotten to the old valve if I needed to!They were very kind, and caring and the ONLY COMPANY WHO CARED ENOUGH TO COME OUT ON EASTER WEEKEND! I am new to the area, I don't have a clue as to why others wrote a bad review!!!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAR HEEL WELL AND DRILLING! THEY ARE HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, AND WHEN THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD SHOW UP THEY DID! THEY DID THE JOB FIRST THING ON MONDAY MORNING AND THEY MADE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT FOR ME!I honestly believe that they were a God sent company in my time of need!THANK YOU TAR HEEL WELL AND DRILLING YOU HAVE MY BUSINESS FOR LIFE! YOU ARE SMIPLY THE BEST!P.S.... NOT ONLY DID THEY DID THE WORK...... One of my kids backed over my well, so I started calling through well drilling/repair companies and Tar Heel Well Drilling was the first to answer their phone. They gave me a rough estimate (best and worst case) over the phone and said they would be out that day. They came out and had me back up and running better than before. They went way above and beyond what I expected and the work they did was well worth the price paid. I paid almost as much to have a plumber come out and tell me it was broke as I did for these guys to actually fix the problem, and a few other well/pump/plumbing inconveniences. I am a 100% satisfied customer. Here's a tip. If you know for sure, or think your well is/may be the problem, call these guys first and save the cost of the plumber's diagnostic fee. You will be glad you did.

NICE PEOPLE BUT NO COMMUNICATION AND NOT OVERLY RELIABLE. We hired Tar Heel Well Drilling to do a simple job. Two months after contacting them, only half the job was complete and our project seemed "inconvenient" and not a priority to them. We had little to NO communication from them in the way of phone, text, or e-mail. Had to constantly call them - they definitely will not call you. Showed up with tools not charged, wrong parts ordered, forgot to bring parts, equipment seemed to always be broken down, tests that were to be performed were not done but were included in the price of our estimate for which they were paid; had to go elsewhere and pay out of pocket to get the tests done. Had to pay others to come behind and check the work and complete the job. While they were polite and they appeared to work hard while they were here and cleaned up after themselves, I would not hire this company again and I would not recommend them to my friends. I would have probably given them just under 3 stars, but the site doesn't allow for 1/2 or 3/4 stars.
