Got a loan through AgSouth with the promise as rates drop I could simply pay $250 and move to the lower rate. Come to find out that is not true. They will move you down but only half to what they are closing loans at today. So a good customer that has been paying on time still has to pay more than a new customer? Think they should disclose that upfront and not in the fine print somewhere. I also get the sense that this is a branch or management decision not a company policy. That is just my supposition but as I spoke with the agent this was what seemed to be the case.

I do not feel they worked hard enough for me. They do NOT go above and beyond. They work slow. Takes at least 2 weeks to get an approval. Not to fail to mention she was rude and snarky. There are plenty of banks that offer land loans. It’s a thing now. Call around. Terrible service

We first met Peggy in 2018 when we shared with her our plan to purchase a beautiful piece of acreage we found in Yadkin County to build a house. If you're looking to finance a rural property, a property with a lot of land, or any piece of real estate for that matter, Carolina Farm Credit in Statesville, NC is the best place to start. Their rates are great, their service is top-notch, and they always do what they say they are going to do. Furthermore my loan officer, Peggy Broach, always answers the phone when I call. That is very rare these days, and much appreciated! I'm a customer for life.
