Spindale Family Dental; Dr. Ben Castelsky

THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO!! I have had extensive work done to my teeth over the years and have been to some of the top dentist in the states. I just moved here and came to Dr. Ben Castelsky office. This place felt like home and Maggie cleaned my teeth impeccably and then came in Dr Ben Castelsky, WHOA talk about friendly and HONEST and caring!! PLEASE HEAR ME, there's so much EASE and COMFORT here He TRULY CARES. HARD TO COME BY A DENTAL OFFICE LIKE THIS and so grateful I have.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Thompson, his staff, or the level of care they provide. There simply aren't enough superlatives in the English language.

As a person with severe dental anxiety, stemming from decades of medievally horrific experiences from local dentists who took Medicaid, I was wary to the point of being skittish, the first time I walked into this office. The location seemed a bit sketchy at first, too, which didn't help. After the first appointment - following an emergency call regarding a broken tooth - almost all of that just melted away.

Dr. Thompson and his assistant, Maxine, were gentle and empathetic without being at all patronizing or condescending. Having worked side by side for at least thirty years, they operate like a well oiled machine, smooth and efficient. Every touch was explained beforehand, every sensation I might feel prefaced by a warning. They set my mind at ease in a simple, no-nonsense manner that left not even a finger hold for my worries.

Aside from the empathy and efficiency, the quality of the work they do is second to none. I have a crown and a filling, now, which are indistinguishable from my own natural teeth.

On top of everything else, their pricing is astonishingly reasonable.

This feels absurd to even type, but I actually look forward to visiting the dentist, now. It's always a pleasant experience.

If you're within 100 miles of this practice, It's worth the drive to tiny Spindale to see them. 200, even. You won't find a better dentist or dental practice inside that radius, guaranteed.

Thank you, Dr. Thompson, Maxine, and the rest of the staff at this office, for giving me back my smile, in a way that makes me feel valued as a person.

My second visit to Spindale Family Dental was like the first. The staff were friendly, professional and very competent. This time was a crown for one of my back teeth, which had multiple fillings over the years and a huge cavity. Instead of extracting the tooth, Dr. Castelsky was able to save the tooth through a very extensive procedure. He made the feel comfortable throughout the process, with minimal pain, and was attentive to my needs. I am very pleased with the results.
