Absolutely the most compassionate staff. We had an unfortunate change in wishes for my Pa and Curtis was so helpful. I am terrified of seeing anyone in a coffin and had to identify my Pa. The moment I seen him, I was at peace. He looked so handsome with how he was groomed and I am ever so grateful for all their care they gave our family.

My stepdad passed away in Florida, and we laid him to rest in Siler City, North Carolina. Our family gathered from near and far to say our goodbyes, and together we met with the funeral director.
I’ve lost many close loved ones over the years, but I have never experienced the kind of genuine care and compassion these men showed us. It wasn’t fake — you can’t fake that kind of kindness.
Their warmth and sincerity helped us tremendously as we grieved for our dad. We’ll always be grateful for how they cared for both our family and our loved one. Thank you all so much!

Mickey and all the staff at Smith and Buckner were so kind, compassionate and patient during the passing of our daddy Darrell Cole.
