Good experience. I received a letter from the IRS! A clerical error had been made on my 2023 taxes and I owed back taxes, a substantial penalty and substantial interest. The back taxes owed were legitimately mine, however I felt that I should not have to bear the burden of the penalty and interest since the clerical error was made by The Tax Ladies. I went to their office in Shallotte and showed them my letter from the IRS. After about 10 minutes of verifying the information they wrote me a check for the full penalty and interest amount. We had The Tax Ladies prepare our taxes for the first time this year and they were FANTASTIC. No appointment needed which I was concerned about, but we arrived on Sat., 1 Feb at 0900 and were sitting with our tax preparer, Kim, within minutes. She did a wonderful job and for that we thank her. The office was professional, courteous and efficient. We received our federal refund in less than a week from filing. Tax Ladies of Shallotte NC have done my tax return for the past four years. They have a knowledgeable staff, answered all my questions, and filed the proper tax forms in a timely manor all at a fair price.
