I have been a customer of Rocky Mount Eye Care Center for many years. Dr. Akers is professional, personable, and informative. The staff is patient oriented and always friendly and helpful. I am a very satisfied customer.

I had a new patient visit 11/24/23. Everyone was nice. But the best part of my entire visit was when I went to pick out my glasses in the eye glass department. Shonicka and her coworker had the best positive vibes. When I walked back in the smiles made my day!!! I was like yep I am definitely getting my glasses here. Both young ladies were Super friendly. We laughed, talked, and it made me so relaxed. They made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. I asked them for their help with my eye glass choices and they were on point . The staff is always #1 in customer service which is why I have NEVER been to any other office location in the area. They are very thorough, friendly, helpful and patient. Then, the icing on the cake is Dr. Thomas Akers which I've been seeing for years. Loyalty is very important to me which another reason I continue to go back with or without insurance that doesn't even have a vision plan. There may be many Eyecare Centers in this area, but none like the one I attend on Sunset Avenue with Dr. Thomas Akers. THESE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ARE AWESOME AND THEN SOME!!!!!!!!!
