I brought our dog,who was a runner, to meet Bill. We talked about different methods and decided to try a shock collar. He put one on her and tested to see what level was needed for the right response. He took her out and began to train her to come on command. Then he taught my husband and I how to work with her. Our dog is now 100% off leash and if she thinks of running, we call her and use the collar as we were taught and she turns and comes back to our side! Our dog is 7 years old and we never thought she could learn to stay with us. River Ridge Kennel is great! I took my reactive 1 year old GSD mix that couldn't walk on a leash or accept any friendly stranger to their group obedience class and now he is much more well-behaved. Bill never rushed classes, always took his time working with my dog to gain his trust, and intentionally taught me how to be the best owner I can be for my dog. I also boarded my dog here for a weekend and it seemed like he had the time of his life. Most boarding facilities don't allow you to walk through their buildings or anything but Alison spent a lot of time showing me all of their operations and the exact kennel my dog would be staying in so I felt comfortable... read full review
