As adult, who has had multiple pets in my lifetime across the world (including one who was aggressive), this was hands down the best first-vet-appointment experience I've had. There was kindness and trust-building upon entering. There was no stress to rush, to 'get through the service and move on to the next one', no unnecessary or pushy up-selling. There was: active listening, empathy, superb body language, calmness, clear communication, patience and special treats. Outstanding. Felt so welcomed and we are so lucky to have you in our village now.

Of all the local veterinarians I've seen over the last several years, Dr Mashburn and team have been the best! The staff were extremely caring while treating my immune compromised boy for over a year and half. His treatment required lots of communication since he would suddenly have bad days and she was always quick to respond and fit us in. The entire staff was very comforting in his passing as well.
My other boy has big anxiety about the vet and the staff is gentle and calm during his visits. He doesnt like anyone and has been on his best behavior with wakefield vet.
Highly recommend Dr Mashburn and everyone (especially Miss Jacquee!) at Wakefield... read full review

But then it was the interactions with the people of Wakefield, the estimate before I had to ask for it, how they walked me through my options and helped me find the best feasible solution for my pet without the guilted pressure of the ideal (expensive) option, and the email with additional options and suggestions for my pets new diet that really set them apart and made me make Wakefield our new vet hospital. I’m so impressed with the kindness... read full review
