I have been a patient at Wake GI since 1999. Dr Barish was my first doctor and Dr Hughes is my doctor now and there are none better. I couldn’t recommend them more.

I have been going to wake gastroenterology for almost 20 years and they have exceeded expectations the entirety of that time. Dr Hughes is my current Dr (my original one retired a decade ago) and she is wonderful. She always listens, is willing to order tests and work with me to ensure I'm getting the best care possible, and it's l has even worked with unc in the past when my case got extremely complicated
They are extremely responsive through patient portal and over the phone, and they have an endoscopy center and CT machine as well as the ability to to x-rays and blood work on site which is a god send when you have a chronic illness and just want to get things done… read full review
