Our three children started at The Raleigh School in preschool and are now in 3rd grade, 1st grade, and preschool 4s. We could not possibly be happier with the opportunities the school has provided for academic, social, and emotional development. As we heard when we enrolled in the elementary school, "There is no back of the classroom at TRS." Independent learning is valued, and children’s interests drive the project-based learning. Through this innovative model, the children master the fundamentals while also becoming curious and independent thinkers, problem solvers, and confident and capable public speakers. The teachers are phenomenal and are invested in the growth and development of each child. Our children love going to school every day. The Raleigh School is a warm, nurturing, supportive community of educators, administrators, parents, and students, and we are grateful to be part of it.

I'm a huge fan of the Raleigh School. When I first heard of it, I heard about the heavy parent involvement and I was a little skeptical... but once my little guy started in 2s class I realized I knew all his school mates, I knew their parents, and became part of an amazing community. We're all in! Both kids went to preschool, and now we're in the elementary school and so impressed with the teachers and staff. If you like project-based learning, group-learning, child-directed learning, outdoor learning... it's the best place around.
It's 2024, we've been with RSM since 2021, and are thrilled with the progress our son has made on the piano. Our son did NOT want to play piano, but we believe that he must have extracurriculars beyond sports alone. This has made us appreciate RSM even more since our son (still) doesn't intrinsically want to learn piano.
