Ariah was super lovely to work with! We have 4c hair & wanted a nice trim & shape-up for our hair & Ariah took really great care of our crowns.🤍 She has the gentlest hands & is such a great conversationalist as well!~ 10/10 would definitely recommend!

What started out a little rocky, ended up being a great experience. Tiara was scheduled to do my color retouch at 8 am and Rhonda was to do my two strand twist with hair added afterwards. When I arrived Tiara waa running late and I started to get testy with the front desk Antonio. Antonio was very professional and told me to wait because it wasn't like Tiara to be late. About 30 minutes later she arrived and I wasn't happy BUT once she got there she apologized took good care of me, allowing me to work on my laptop, was friendly and never had an attitude even though I had been. Rhonda did a great job got me in and out and after the great customer service I thanked Tiara for her work and told the owner about my experience that despite me being irritated at first they ALL kept their professionalism so I tipped them with the highest going to Tiara. I will be back. Great job and got compliments as soon as went to the store, cashier saying they loved my hair.

Showed up at 12:50 for my 1pm appointment and I WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN. Stylist was on her phone the entire time she was doing my hair. Then when the other stylist around her finish with their clients she decides to stop playing on her phone and focus on my hair(by the time this happened it’s already 5pm) as soon as all the other stylist finish with their clients it’s starts to get hot in the building like they CUT THE AIR CONDITIONING OFF for the day!!!! So i ask for something to drink and she points to the side of the room where they have refreshments. I walk over and try and grab some water to cool off and the water is ALSO HOT. So I am sitting here about to pass out while this lady is playing in my head taking her sweet precious time back and forth on her phone. Needless to say I LEFT. Paid the entire 160 dollars for a half done head and left. UNBELIEVABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. 0/10 I wouldn’t SEND MY DOG TO THIS PLACE!!!!

Let’s just say I totally wasted my time driving to the Raleigh shop and paying $10 for a useless “Consultation” for Micro Locs, by someone who was tossed at me at the last minute because of their wacky “system.”
I tried to work with them, because I was also still considering Boho Braids again. I to get scheduled at their Raleigh or Durham location, but they were booked up. I guess they’re in demand.
But as for me, they will not see me again. PeriodT.
I got a call the next day from some lady, who ultimately told me they couldn’t take me at either of their locations…blah, blah, blah 😒
Too many people/phone#s/AI agents in the mix! They initially communicated via AI agents/text, rather than Human to Human, so the tech gets the blame.
Irritating, time consuming and trying to do business with them was infuriating and fruitless!

UPDATE: Taji took note of my review and one of the assistant managers ended up calling to apologize and let me know they would refund the additional amount I was asked to pay. They had great customer service and I truly do appreciate them working to make the situation right. They were able to clarify that the stylist should have gone over pricing with me before my style and that was an oversight on their end. I greatly appreciated their promptness and transparency in getting this situation resolved.
Original review: Nobody wants to feel duped leaving the salon, but unfortunately that’s how I felt leaving Taji’s. Nau’Tica did a great job with my Havana twists and I was feeling great as I was about to leave the salon. However, right as I was about to leave, she casually informs the worker who was checking me out that the price was wrong — instead of the $175 that I expected (as that’s what was on their Vagaro website when I booked), the price was actually $280. Being asked to pay $105 more than expected based on their mistake was very disheartening, especially considering I’m a grad student working with a limited budget. I guess if you’re going to go here beware, and be sure to triple-check their pricing as who knows what they’ll actually ask you to pay at your appointment.

Before I begin, I’d like to say that my initial consultation with chelle was very pleasant and informative. The moment I put that deposit down, it was OVER from there. My appointment was initially scheduled for 4/4/2025, I was contacted a week prior asking to change the appointment to 5/17/2025 due to my stylist having a double booking on my original date and the other client was having her wedding. Now, I’m an understanding person and mistakes happen so I had no issue changing my date. 5/14/2025 comes around and I get a message from the salon requesting me to change my appointment to JUNE?. Apparently chelle is no longer with them and that’s okay, turnover happens and sometimes you can’t plan for it. Here is my problem, after communicating with the team I said I was open for either the 17 or the 18th which is a Saturday/sunday. My last communication with them was on the 14th and on the DAY OF, the team contacts me 30 minutes before my appointment (while I am already driving there) to “confirm” my appointment for tomorrow the 18th? Why would a professional business think it’s appropriate to contact someone 30 minutes before their scheduled and confirmed appointment to reschedule? They had all day Thursday and Friday to let me know they didn’t have someone and they didn’t. At this point it feels like all a scheme to keep my non refundable deposit. Such a shame because I really wanted to give them a try since I was recommended by other clients that have had better experiences.

Let me just say to Clarissa thank-you again. I came in to get knotless braids and they look better than the picture I sent in as an example. Clarissa was so professional, welcoming and she is all about healthy hair. I would HIGHLY recommend her for your next hair appointment!!!

So relieved that I finally found a one stop customer friendly natural hair salon that me and my daughter can go. It’s kid friendly!!!! Brittany was so awesome with my six yr old daughter and gentle with her hair!!!! My daughter received a wash, blow dry, cornrow and two strand twisted style just right not tight or pulling at her scalp! She also told me how to maintain it as well! Hurry up and book her today and watch stress fly away!
