I met Dr. Van Pala while looking to potentially rent his old clinic. During the tour of his space, Dr. Van Pala pulled me aside and asked about some brief questions about morphological symptoms. He suggested that I have my testosterone checked. I didn't, because what did he know, right? None of my PCPs had ever even thought to check my testosterone levels, and they spent a lot of time with me and had my labs and stuff. Early the next year, my insurance changed and I had to change PCPs, and I went to Dr. Van Pala and I told him, "You've got one chance. If you're right and my testosterone is low, you're my new PCP. If you're not right, I'm going some place more convenient to me." Well, he was right. He's now got me on a conservative regimen that has successfully brought my testosterone up, and I feel better than I have in decades. Beyond that, I've found Dr. Van Pala to be very personally caring and supportive.
