“My mother in law gifted my wife and I a landscape design by Cat Valand. When first speaking with Cat over the phone her energy was so calming and kind. We knew working with her was going to be wonderful, she truly listened to every detail we provided in what we were interested in. Our vibe is not normal for the typical North Carolina weather since we are very bohemian, desert, contemporary driven. After chatting with Cat, she gave us some homework but it was fun homework! She asked that we provide some inspirations photos of what sort of vibe, style, colors, and feeling we were going for in the yard of our new build home. I sent over what was requested and then she came out to the house to do some measurements and photography of the area to get a visual of what she would be working with. Within 4 DAYS, Cat had an entire landscape blue print drawn out, a binder full of suggested plants, suggested decor, and suggested contacts we could work with who she trusts. When we sat with her and she explained every single detail of her drawing and why she chose which plant for which area and you can really tell her true passion for what she does and how much she really knows about what she is talking about. We were completely blown out of the water with the design that came from a stranger we had never met that in the matter of a few days she completely matched EXACTLY what we are looking for. I cannot give Cat enough credit for her kindness, hard work, and expertise of what she has provided us and we are so excited to put this design to life over time to make our landscape space our perfect zen!! “We've used Gary for a couple of big projects and plan on hiring him again this year. The brick parking pad has been in place for over two decades ago and is as solid as the day he left. No buckling, sinking, or movement at all. More recently, he put in a walkway in the back yard and we are getting ready to have him put in a patio to tie into the walkway. “After searching for months and having multiple contractors come out to our property for our new deck/patio project, there was just no vision and a lack of follow up. I stumbled across CDG just as I was about to give up. It was the best desicion we made. From our first meeting with Elena we knew we were in good hads. Bryan and Elena envisoined our space into something amazing, and beyond anything we could have ever dreamed up with a unique design that was as much functional as beautiful. We were kept in the loop through the entire process with morning meetings for my wife and I, with regular check ins on the project as it progressed throughout the day. A truly collaborative experienceThe team on the property was seamless with the crew on the ground daily. Jamie, Jeff, Gabe, Ubaldo, Sergio and others were incredibly respectful and kind with exectuing our rather large project. Having not so great experiences with contractors in the past my wife even mentioned how amazing they were and never felt uncomfortbale around the crew. We looked forward to seeing them every day, and even our dog would wait by the door to get her morning belly rub from Bryan.I admittedly am a very particular customer and its not often that a company meets or exceeds my expectations. Bryan and the whole CDG knocked it out of the park with high quality meticulous craftsmanship and customer relations.The worst part of the project was when it was finally completed and we didnt get to see them every morning. They became a part of our family for a few months. We even had a big BBQ lunch for them on their last full day. “We just had AB Tree Service come out today for the first time. We had a dead tree that needed to come down, another tree removed that had fallen, some tree trimming, and unsightly brush that needing removal. They did a really efficient job, and left the area nice and cleaned up. We're very pleased with the job done, we highly recommend them. I noticed on their card, they do quite a lot of various types of landscaping, and we will definitely use them again!“
