We had the pleasure of working with Design by Tula to build our “forever home”. Tula was a quick study on interpreting what we wanted in different parts of the house. She was most helpful in color coordination for our walls, floors and with furniture selection. We were very pleased with her help on selecting furniture that embodied the different styles and looks that we were trying to accomplish. For instance, we have a steampunk themed library where Tula helped us find a craftsman that created a unique and one of-of-a-kind steampunk-styled desk. Design by Tula brought The 1893 House to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Tula and her assistant Katie designed every room with precision, care, and a touch of magic. Tula is sharp—no detail escapes her eye—and she guides the process with both vision and grace.
The results speak for themselves. Our jewel-box library, with deep green walls and velvet seating, feels both dramatic and cozy. The bar, wrapped in floral wallpaper beneath a silver-leafed ceiling, has become one of the most photographed spaces in the house.
