North Star is an amazing facility. A lot of the comments about emergencies giving one star can be truthful though. North Star is NOT an emergency hospital. Just like if you were to walk into your General family practitioner's office with an emergency, they are not able to treat you. They are amazing for annual appointments, minor nonemergent concerns, and surgery. They can fit you in on the schedule within a few days, sometimes even the next day for slightly emergent but not life-threatening appointments, just like a general practitioner or a pediatric doctor's office. But if your animal is on the verge of life or death maybe consider a veterinary clinic geared for emergencies....read full review

I have been a repeat boarder of NSE and have boarded my performance horses here for many, many years - approximately 10 years in total and counting. The stalls are immaculate, the feed top quality, the pastures maintained, and there are arena lights in both arenas for those of us who work during the day. Rob and Mike are amazing to talk to and very responsive and accommodating. Yes, you have to buy some things a la carte (blanketing, fly masks), but it's a small extra price to pay for the cost of board.The pros: clean stalls, clean water buckets, attentive care, lights in the arena to ride by, jumps and a dressage arena, easily accessible trailer parking.
