I can’t say enough great things about Craven Animal Hospital. When my service dog Ranger started having stomach issues, their team went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of quickly and compassionately.

A special thank-you to Clinton and the entire staff for being so kind, patient, and attentive during a stressful time. this was a Saturday and Clinton was so patient and walked me through my options.
The on-call doctor was incredibly responsive and thorough, taking the time to explain everything and make sure Ranger was comfortable and on the right path to feeling better.

It’s clear this clinic truly cares about both pets and their people. I’m grateful to have such a dedicated veterinary team here in New Bern. Highly recommend!

I sent my husband in with our ferret for a checkup and bloodwork. Just for his regular meds that he needs for his stomach, that they told me he will need to continue to take the rest of his senior life. Our ferret is old and just needed the medication to keep him from becoming dehydrated from his bowl movements that cause diarrhea for his age. He's been on them for a year. He doesn't have but a year longer to live at his age. They manipulated my husband into spending even more money for a rabies shot! For an animal that never goes outside. On my care credit card without my permission. My husband did not know any better obviously...I am very unhappy that they would take advantage. I will definitely not be bringing any of my other pets to this vet. Its quite disappointing and I will be calling the vets office asap.

We have been helped plenty of times, even through some emergencies. These folks don't gouge, shame, or point the finger, they just want to help. Even on short notice.

Insisted on charging a late fee despite being under 15 minutes late. Literally no one on the waiting room waiting and get stuck with this “fee.”No grace and minimal time with vet to go over issue with my sick animal. This place will just do whatever to scrape a buck. This place puts profits over pets.

Don’t go there. Do not recommend. My dog Freya had a freak impaction happen after she busted out of her kennel during the day and ate the Dr.browns pacifiers that we had on the nightstand in the baby room.
We paid for an emergency surgery at Emergency pet hospital of Craven Carteret due to being after hours when she threw up and noticed impaction.About $4,000…

a week later she started getting sick and not eating again.
Took her to Craven animal hospital.

They proceeded to tell us she was impacted again. Gave us 4 options right then and there. 1) euthanize her. 2) pay for a surgery 3) go elsewhere 4) surrender her and THEY DO THE SURGERY

We could not afford a surgery back to back like that. Made the tough choice to surrender. But we scrolled their FB page to keep an eye out since we haven’t seen her at any shelters. One of their techs has our dog…

At this point this is just a scam for someone to take your dog. You saw we just paid for one surgery. If I surrender you can miraculously perform surgery?? And then turn around and pass the dog off to someone that works there??

Do not go to this clinic

This is a horrible vet. I had good experiences until the past year, but things seem to have fallen off a cliff in the past year.

Very professional, prompt, caring, and kind! I'm so glad to have such a great team that's dedicated to helping pet parents.

My wife Susan Wonderly works as a school teacher 5 days a week had scheduled this appointment many weeks in advanced. Your office capriciously cancelled her appointment after being 10 minutes late. She was refused care. Mind you she has been taking her 4 cats and two dogs to this facility. The veterinarian s may be good but the rude unprofessional office staff was enough that we have taken our business elsewhere
