Burke County Animal Services offers a welcoming and informative adoption experience. The extremely helpful staff takes the time to answer questions, shares medical histories, and allows visitors to interact with the animals. It is clear that they love seeing animals find forever homes. With a genuine passion for animal welfare, the staff provides excellent care for the dogs and cats. Adopters can expect a smooth and friendly experience, making it an excellent choice for those looking to add a new furry family member. The entire staff is nice and professional, ensuring that everyone feels supported during the adoption process. Many animals are sweet and just looking for new moms and dads due to circumstances beyond their control. The shelter is also known for being clean, which adds to the comfort of visitors and potential adopters.
I’ve been following the shelter for years on Facebook and I finally decided one day to walk in to foster/adopt a cat. We were greeted immediately and allowed to go look at the kittens. There were so many to choose from! My son ended up picking a sweet playful kitty that really, honestly picked us. While bringing the kitten back to get her shots, I noticed how sweet and friendly the staff were. They were giving shots, answering phone calls, grabbing food for customers, you name it! The staff that work at our local shelter are saints. Thank you for all you do! If you are thinking about getting a pet, definitely check out the shelter first!!! ❤️
These people are amazing and I love what they do. I had a house fire in 22 and they saved my cat and I can't thank them enough for saving him . I went to make a payment on my bill for him and someone had paid it off for me and so I just gave them the money for saving my cat. I donate everything I can. Love toast.❤️ that's the name they gave him .
I have had 2 great interactions with BCAS. We adopted our pup, Bob, from them about a month ago and he is the best pup. He fits our family so well! Additionally our goats escaped last week and the animal control officers picked them up and waited for me to get home to release them back to me. Very professional and nice about the whole thing. Great folks work here and they do the work of saints helping these animals. Thank you Burke County!
