Having new insurance coverage that did not cover my previous provider. Mebane Vision Center was located nearby and was covered though so I made a new patient appointment there. Had my initial visit yesterday and I was thoroughly impressed. The moment I walked in, eight minutes prior to my appointment I was greeted and as I had filled out all of the paper work online I only had to sit in the waiting room without any further papers to fill out. The waiting room was very clean and comfortable as were the exam rooms. I was taken for the initial exam right at my appointment time and afterward the Dr. came in almost immediately. It really is great when you encounter someone with great customer service. They are pleasant and go out of their way to work things out for you. This doesn't happen all of the time, so when it does, I go out of my way to say thank you. You are so very appreciated, and do a great job. You have a pleased and loyal customer in me! Can’t speak to the care from the Doctor, but the staff on the phone was definitely dismissive. I’d recommend that if you are going to have an online scheduling feature that it work, and that if it is not working, then you take it off your website. It’s 2024, it’s not that difficult or time-consuming to update a webpage. I called after requesting an appointment online a week ago only to be told very nonchalantly that the online portal was not working. No apology, nothing. Just yeah, that isn’t working. The date I originally requested, which was already over a month out at the time, was now taken, and I would’ve had to wait an additional week. I would’ve liked... read full review
