My dad passed away and he had cremation services already planned from a Funeral Home in Florida. He had transferred it a while back to Heritage in Matthews. My dad passed August 12th and we met with Karen, Funeral Director. She was so kind to us in such a stressful situation. We had my dad cremated as his wishes. When we went to pick up the Ashes of Dad, I was really having a hard time because Dad had no final plans after that. I talked with Karen about my concerns and she guided me through this process. She recommended the Niche’s to put the Ashes in. We went to look at it and it was the perfect place in the Cemetery for my dad’s resting place. We picked a date and cannot wait to put my dad at his final resting place. Thank you Karen in helping us through this stressful time. You have no idea how much it means to my family.
My husband Bob Hudson passed away on July 29, 2022. Due to his severe illness my daughter made an appointment with Karen Reardon to finalize funeral plans. From the moment we arrived, our visit was nothing but perfect. We had already purchased our plots and crypts. She showed us the location. We did not plan to have Bob viewed and we were placing the casket in a cement vault so therefore a simple comfortable casket was all we needed. Karen showed us pictures of what was available. She did no sales pitch only provided what we needed. She commented that North Carolina did not require embalming; therefore since he would not be viewed, we saved several hundred dollars by not embalming him. She went over exactly what would take place upon his death and gave us a breakdown of fees for the Weddington Heritage funeral home and Forest Lawn East cemetery. We left feeling very good about our experience and knowing that Bob would be well cared for. I recommend this group highly.
Thank you very much for your help in this most difficult time. On behalf of our family we wish to thank you for your professional services during our difficult time.
