9950 Durant Rd, Raleigh“I began martial arts training at Red Sun Academy in July 2024. When I started, I was a complete beginner, so I took private lessons to get personalized instruction. Nowadays, I do a mix of private and group classes, and I love them both. The school is a welcoming place with a strong sense of community, and the student body is a mixed bag of people, with some students as young as eight and others well into their 60s. No two classes are the same. Each session is different and always includes attention to each skill set and individual experience level. Whether you're a black belt or just starting, you'll get a lot out of every class. The instructor, Sensei Amy, has a broad teaching style that draws from a few different martial arts, including Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, and Tai Chi. The instructor and assistants are great people, so you'll enjoy spending time with them, whether in private or group lessons. If you want to do martial arts, Red Sun is a great place to do it.“

5400 Atlantic Springs Rd, Raleigh“We held our son's 5th birthday party this past weekend and from start to finish had an amazing experience!! We opted for the Blue package, basically everything prepped by eNeRGy Kidz, and it was the way to go! Shout out to Leanne Adams who responded to all of my queries promptly and the staff who were on hand to help with leading everything on the day. Every kid of all ages were engaged and had a blast!!“
5:30 - 9PM
3632 Capital Blvd, Raleigh“This dojo does more than train the body! It is a community that fosters togetherness, engages all ages and stretches students to be responsible both on and off the mat. The instructors are well trained and the tournaments are an experience everyone should have. I highly recommend training with Marvin Saint-Cyr and being the whole family!“

“I have been doing martial arts for over 25 years. I started at a small school in Rolesville that later moved to Wake Forest before eventually shutting down. After becoming a father, I knew I wanted my children involved in the art that made me into the man I am today. Both of my children are students at Blackbelt World Knightdale and I have no regrets coming here. The instructors instill courtesy, integrity, self-control, and indomitable spirit into the students. The instructors have a wonderful understanding of age groups and the skill levels that each individual student should be at appropriately. They ensure that students are prepared for belt testings and communicate with the parents areas that the student needs improvements. This is not a hand-out school - Blackbelts are earned. Titles are not given they’re achieved through hours, days, months, and years of constant training to be called a Master Blackbelt. I truthfully love this place and it has become like a second home of one large diverse family.“
