i found out i was pregnant at 4 weeks, i called my doctor to get a confirmation of pregnancy and a referral for an OBGYN through tricare. they told me they would call me back in 3 days for a lab work appointment, well a week and a half later still no phone call. i started calling the office and each day i would be told “we’ll call you back tomorrow” and they never would. FINALLY i go in for lab work and they told me they would call me back in 3 days with results. well, almost two weeks now, and no lab results. at this point im 8 weeks pregnant so i basically have been asking for a month now for a referral.

I was stationed there between 2005-2006 and it was the worst experience of my naval career. I experienced so much racism and mistreatment there it was unreal. I wanted to pursue a long naval career, 20-30 years. Many of my family members were veterans of armed services, e.g.. the Navy, Air Force, and Army. My Grandfather was WWI Army. I tried several times to relocate to a different duty station but was denied each time. I experienced racial slurs and was referred to as "Boy" by an HM5. I reported what she said to an officer who claimed to have reprimanded her. A Chief also ordered me to pick weeds saying "Boy, we got some weeds for you to pick". I went to Captains Mast 3 times for crimes I didn't commit. I definitely do not recommend this duty station at all.

Stop tellimg every single person that comes in the door "we are short staffed..." You have been at this stagfing for 6+ years, it isn't shanging, this is what you have....Every Doctor and Corpsman uses this as an excuse to provise low quality care.

Fast pick up of pharmacy items, only if you use the pharmacy text method.

The staff in labs were friendly and professional. My Dr. was kind and listened patiently while I explained everything. The wait time in pharmacy wasn't all that bad, I would say they were no different than any civilian pharmacy on a busy day. They were all very professional. One of the better medical center in my opinion.

Every individual treated me with respect and performed high quality care. They know how to cheer you up no matter the circumstances you are at a hospital.

Just a lack of professionalism. If you are a marine trying to get an audio gram done you deal with the Karen at the front desk who just yells at you because her husband is probably enlisted and is fooling around on her on base and in lejeune and to hear the sound of her own voice. But good luck cherry point medical isn’t beneficial. You are better doing self treatment.

I'm fortunate enough to have an amazing PCM, but pharmacy is a joke and never own up to their mistakes but rather blame the patient. The wait is a ridiculous time I waited almost 3hrs to get meds. Seems to be getting worse than improving. And they're never friendly.
