“As an adult, there’s a lot of things you don’t want to hear. “Needing a new AC unit” is definitely one of those. Sunday night, we realized that our AC wasn’t working(not really surprised as it was 19 years old). Come Monday, we reached out to have it looked at. Lonon Heating, A/C and Air Quality came out Monday evening and by Tuesday morning we accepted a quote for a new unit. Then today, that unit was installed. To say that we are impressed with the communication and time line of it all is an understatement. “My situation began with noticing that at 10:00pm our air conditioning was not working. “Well I’m a Fixer”…. And when I can’t fix it “I DON’T sleep”… I lay awake working through all the things that “might work” to fix the problem. Finally at 4:45am I got up went and got a portable air compressor to try and blow out the condensation line… “that didn’t work”….. I turned the breaker off at the main panel… for about thirty minutes. “ hoping for a hard factory reset”…. That didn’t work either. Being nearly 70 years old and having had three total knee replacements.. “ I don’t crawl”.. once McMillian was open for business… I called and placed a request for service. And just as I expected a service tech “Tyler” showed up. I told him all that I had attempted prior to his arrival… “He went straight to work… found the issue in minutes. And made the necessary corrections to restore the A/C… and as great as that sounds… that’s just part of the story. Tyler took the time to show both my wife and I how to “set” out thermostat so it would change from heat to air without having to mess with it at all… he even went upstairs and set the thermostat up there, he really went above and beyond a normal “service call”!… and should be recognized for his representation of the fine company he works for.
