We had an awful experience with Stover Construction. First, he took his first draw on our construction loan in February 2019 and didn't break ground until 6 weeks later in April. The house would sit for weeks at a time with no one working on it. He lied to us about having the Certificate of Occupancy so we moved in. Ten days later we learned he didn't have it because he never turned in the required paperwork or paid the fee. He never gave us a final walkthrough and never completed the house. Our experience with this builder was terrible. We had a 10 month contract for a custom home. He didn't manage to get the home to a livable stage until 13 months later and didn't have it complete enough for the bank to sign off on for almost 15 months. As soon as he received his final payment from us, he disappeared. That was March of 2020. He sent a grader and roofer to make some repairs a couple months later and we've never heard from him again despite trying to contact him over a dozen times since he disappeared.
