Sound Construction replaced the windows and siding, and painted our vacation rental in the fall of 2025. The experience working with them was nothing short of excellent. Communication was clear and timely, with frequent photo updates of progress. The materials used were high-quality, the workmanship was impressive, and the final result is a stunning transformation for a 30+ year old home. Work was completed timely, and the price was competitive and fair.

We started working with Kyle and the Hatteras Island Sound Construction team back in 2008 when we purchased our lot in Hatteras. At that point, we had no plans and very vague ideas of what we wanted to build. Kyle spent a few days showing us various homes he had built over the years, pointing our good things as well as those things he would do differently if he was building the home over again. The later proved more insightful both in that we avoided those mistakes, but also in that it showed that Kyle and the team were more than just builders; they were craftsman who were constantly working to improve their craft. My wife and I have a dream to live on Hatteras Island. In the late 90's our dream started to come to life. We purchased a lot in Waves and started to find the right builder. While on our annual vacation to HI. from northern VA. I started to visit new homes being built during our rental week. IT DROVE MY WIFE NUT'S!
