I started taking my brother to the VA on Raeford Road recently to help him meet his healthcare needs. I didn’t know what to expect after all I had heard about the VA. I was very pleasantly surprised. I’ve worked in hospitals for over40 years and this one is the easiest to get around in of all the ones I’ve been to. Not only do they have the department name in huge letters over the reception desks, but each department is assigned a number and letter based on the floor it’s on and the order it comes in. I started receiving dialysis in May 2020 at Fresenius. I transferred to Robeson VA Clinic about a month ago. The comparison was very surprising. Robeson VA clinic does an outstanding job. They really pay attention to details.There was only one complaint related to a nurse named Dorneta. Luckily she only works in my area to fill in when my regular nurse is out. I do not trust with my life while receiving dialysis. She goes out of her way to provoke me. In May of this year I had a seizure during dialysis at Fresenius.
