We recently went in to purchase a countertop for our kitchen island, and after visiting several companies including Lowe’s and Home Depot, our last and best stop was H A Stoneworks LLC dba Granitops in Elm City. From start to finish, the experience was above and beyond anything we expected.
I first spoke with Brett over the phone on a Thursday to ask about their business hours. He was so pleasant, professional, and informative that we already felt comfortable. When we met him in person on Friday, he was just as helpful and patient, and we left feeling confident we had chosen the right place. That day, we picked out a beautiful quartz stone for our island, and we were very pleased with how fair his price was.
By Monday, just two days later, Jason came out to measure. Jason was absolutely outstanding—so knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. He explained everything with such clarity and made the process effortless for us.
Then came Wednesday—just two days after the measurement—and our new kitchen island (a large 92” x 63” piece!) was installed. The entire team worked quickly and smoothly, and every single person was a joy to have in our home. Jason once again stood out, not only in the precision of his work but also in his thoughtfulness. He even went the extra step of arranging our stools around the island so the look was complete.

Great service. Trey came out and provided me with an estimate at no charge. I had to have new pipes run to my washing machine, outside on and off and the on and offs in the kitchen The estimate he gave was on point with the final bill. He was here for a few hours and worked the whole time even though it was pouring rain nearly the whole time. Thank you Trey.
They were a lifesaver for me. Finding a storage space was exceptionally hard near the area I stay in. I thought I was going to have to donate my new couch. I called them and was able to rent their last storage space. The young lady who handles their front office was so sweet. The owner was kind and patient with explaining everything. They had locks for purchase in the office bc of course I left my own at home. Definitely recommend them.
My neighbor and I had Steve upgrade our electrical panels. Steve upgraded our neighbor's panel first, and after he left I asked our neighbor, who is a former contractor and true craftsman, what he thought of Steve's work. My neighbor replied, “Impeccable”. This was high praise from someone like our neighbor, who does impeccable work himself.
Steve did a wonderful job on the installation of our panel, too. He also had to run wires from the new panel for an electric stove we were getting and wires for heat pumps. He was faced with some obstacles with this work, but got it done with a minimum of sheetrock removal. Another electrician told us he would have to dig a trench to get the wires installed for the heat pumps, but Steve was able to get the wires installed without the added cost of trenching. Having worked for a contractor for a while, I was more than impressed.
We also had Steve install our heat pumps, and again, he did a beautiful job.
In short, Steve is punctual, neat, very responsive, and truly cares about leaving the homeowner happy and satisfied.
