The owner is too controlling. She doesn't let her employees do anything unless it goes through her first. They are always whispering and conspiring in the back. I feel like the owner was in charge of my hair, not my hair stylist. This resulted in a traumatizing experience last year in which I and the stylist agreed to one hair style and then the owner came over, while with a client, and unbeknownst to me started chopping my hair off. I had a nervous break down that was so bad that I got mouth ulcer or sores from the stress. DO NOT CHOP OF A BLACK WOMAN'S HAIR WITHOUT HER KNOWING. I love this salon! They are extremely professional - you will never have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen and be assured that your stylist will give you 1-on-1 attention the whole time. I was tired of going to salons, waiting sometimes an hour to be seen (with a scheduled appointment), and after all of that feeling like my service was rushed because they were juggling 4+ clients at the same time. I NEVER feel like this here. It's such a spa like and relaxing experience. This time I saw Anique and she was AMAZING. My hair was damaged, brittle and split ends were everywhere.
