I went for a basic hair consultation on Dec 23rd . I understand that a hair dresser wants to understand a clients hair . However, Latonya went to far when she started making a medical diagnosis on what she thought my hair condition was. I don’t have to share medically what’s wrong with my hair. I was open to the protective hair styles that she was suggesting however I dislike how she could assume that I have alopecia. My suggestion would be to get a medical degree in hair dermatology before you make assumptions about a client’s hair. Also , Hippa law states that a person doesn’t have to share any medical history with you because that information is confidential....read full review
I have been going to Savanna's Hands for years and LaTonya is amazing. My hair is healthy, slayed, and her products make my hair smell like Heaven. One thing that I appreciate about LaTonya is her knowledge and passion about hair. She educates me about any concerns and provides realistic solutions. I recall needing my ends trimmed but I wanted to keep my length - well LaTonya took out a white sheet of paper and used it as an illustration to show me the condition of my split ends. I'm no longer afraid of getting a trim and my hair is almost to my bra strap. If you want health hair then book an appointment and be consistent with your treatments and your hair will thank you!
I made am appointment on December 15th for a crochet and they require $25 consultation. I didn't like that, but when I got to my appointment she said she didn't feel comfortable doing a crochet because my hair needed to treated. Remind you this was on my birthday and I had cancelled a massage that my husband made for me so I can get my hair done. She suggested sending me to someone on 98 that I don't even know at 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon as a walkin and she also suggested that I get my hair treated with a protein wash and to trim my hair for $120 ( too expensive). I honestly should have not paid her anything be ause she did not provide the service that I made an appointment for. I do not recommend anyone to go to this place of business. Latoya wanted to take my money for consultation but didn't want to give me the hair style that I made an appointment for. Did I mention I wasted over $50 buying hair that I couldn't use because she didn't do my hair. Very unprofessional. You should let people know up front that you may not do their hair for whatever reason that you make and I would have NEVER made this appointment. You wasted my time and my money.
