I'm not Dr. Friedman's patient. I have met and dealt with him in a different setting. However, I am not a friend or family member. He might come off a bit brusque because his mind is very academic and balancing many things at once. He cares deeply about helping people (especially children) beat cancer. He does his best to compartmentalize the tragedies cancer creates, but his forward scientific thinking has helped save many lives. He doesn't have a God complex. He is human who tries to balance his own friendships and family with a job that requires him to help people navigate uncertain prognosis, experimental treatments, and in some instances a very tragic early death....read full review
He and his team are amazing! My Doctors in Louisiana gave me 3 years to live but he said that I would die of old age. It’s been 23 years since I was diagnosed. Looks like he was right again!😁
