Shorey's Taekwondo America is a welcoming and supportive environment where students receive genuine care and mentorship from dedicated instructors. The school feels like a family, with instructors who get to know each child individually and adapt their teaching to ensure no one is left behind. Students make tremendous progress, and parents appreciate the clear communication and updates on class changes and events.
This place rocks! First of all, I'd like to state that the Shorey family that runs this establishment are top shelf people. The kind of folks you want to be around... friendly, helpful, fun, accommodating. Flexible, adventurous, etc... Such a class act. This place is wonderful for absolutely every single person. Everyone can do this if they want to. The Shorts are very knowledgeable in what they do and they meet each person where they are at upon entering. It's a very uplifting vibe, they aren't the type of hard core, screaming, rigid instructors that many of us fear. Yikes!! Shorey's Martial Arts is an outstanding martial arts school, and a big part of what makes it so special is the leadership of Jacob Shorey. Jacob has dedicated most of his life to martial arts, starting at a young age and growing into not only a highly skilled 3rd-degree black belt, but also an incredible instructor and leader.
What sets Jacob apart is his ability to connect with students of all ages. He doesn't just teach techniques—he builds confidence, discipline, and character. You can see the respect students have for him, and more importantly, the way he genuinely cares about each individual's growth.
