“Jen is great! So are her methods! I prefer to avoid bodyworkers who push and force my body, trying to get it to change at their will, which can be quite painful, really. Science knows that there are different "types" of pain, and trying to get rid of pain, by subjecting ourselves to painful sessions from bodyworkers is detrimental to our recovery.Jen is the only massage therapist in Haywood County that offers Esalen Massage. It is very therapeutic, feels amazing and leaves you with longer lasting benefits than typical massages. She is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about her subject, super understanding if you are not, tirelessly patient, and really wants to serve the community. “I've been seeing DJ for over a year and a half to help me manage chronic back and neck pain due mostly to scoliosis. I've been to a lot of massage therapists in my life, and I have never stuck with one this long. DJ is absolutely fantastic to work with, especially if you need deep tissue work like I do. I always leave feeling so relaxed and relieved and looking forward to our next session. He has always made me feel comfortable and respected, and he really puts his knowledge to use. “My wife and I where in town helping my father in law who is remodeling his house. We found Waynesville Yoga Center had a restorative class and it was just what we needed! We spend a good bit of time at Lake Junaluska and will definitely be back! Suzanne was a great instructor with such a soothing voice for a restorative class. The location is a historical home and is absolutely beautiful. We are so glad we found this place. We will probably do a mixed level flow class tomorrow night.“

“I received an incredible 60 minute Abhyanga treatment from Mitzi at Sundarah's creekside location that was deeply relaxing and left me feeling hydrated, grounded and invigorated for 7 days after. It was my first time receiving this Ayurvedic treatment and I may never go back to regular massage. My skin, hair and digestion loved and appreciated the copious amounts of warm oil and the bodywork protocol. I wasn't overly oily leaving my appointment because my skin happily soaked it all up. As someone who struggles with staying balanced in the cold and dry winter elements, this treatment will definitely be a staple in my self-care routine moving forward. Sundarah's ayurvedic menu is amazing and I can't wait to try other treatments throughout the seasons!“
