About Springbrook Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
Springbrook Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a facility that provides both short-term rehab and long-term care. It is a clean and nice establishment with a caring and professional staff. The facility offers great rehab services, and for those requiring long-term care, it strives to create a home-like and uplifting environment. One patient, a 95-year-old man, had to move to Springbrook after a stroke and a mild heart attack. He initially went there for rehab but eventually required long-term care. Although he initially wanted to return home, he grew to appreciate the staff and the care they provided. His family is thankful for the competent and caring staff, particularly a nurse he fondly calls "Mary." However, there have been concerns about understaffing. One family had to take their elderly relative home after three weeks due to insufficient attention from the nurses. Despite the substandard food and occasional issues with understaffing, the therapy and nursing staff, as well as the social workers and administrative personnel, have received high praise for their dedication, respect, and compassion towards patients and their families. In summary, Springbrook Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a clean and caring facility that offers both short-term rehab and long-term care. While there have been issues with understaffing and food quality, the staff has been commended for their professionalism, competence, and compassion towards patients and their families.
My aunt was there for 2 years, first as rehab, then transitioned to nursing home care. Recently she had a severe pneumonia and CHD. She was treated at the nearby UNC Johnson hospital, she returned to Springbrook under hospice care. The staff has always been great and they will tell you she was, too. She was always grateful for what was done for her. They all came to her room to welcome her home. So sweet.
Upon looking at previous reviews for this facility throughout the years, it seems to stay consistent with short staff, making it difficult for the staff members to accommodate and service the individuals in need whom are all paying to be there.
I chose this facility because it was closer in proximity to me, and I felt like since my mother was only needing short-term care to assist with getting back to her regular schedule that they could accommodate her appropriately.

My father was recently at Springbrook and had an excellent experience. First, all the staff from admin to nurses to PTs, cooks, maintenance, cleaning were all so friendly. They were always interactive and very responsive to my dad’s needs.
His room and bed sheets were thoroughly cleaned every day. And the nursing staff worked very hard to keep him clean and well shaven. Kudos to the nursing staff for their hard work. We definitely noticed and so did my dad. And we sincerely thank you for showing him such love and compassion.
The admin staff were equally attentive and quickly answered any issue we rose with a positive solution.
