Absolutely love the instructors at this studio!! They have really helped our family bond over doing martial arts together!! My initial thought was to just send my kiddos but I was invited to participate and it has been an incredible uplifting experience! I thought I missed this boat so to speak not doing martial arts when I was a kid, but I am currently on the way to my black belt along with my children! The best part is I get to do something athletic with my kids instead of just watching from the sidelines. Not to mention meeting some great friends along the way! To black belt and beyond! And always UpLevel!!

I've seen a lot of action movies. So, I think my idea of what Uplevel Martial Arts does, was a bit off. After 2.5 years, I have not learned how to become a dangerous killing machine who can fight an entire warehouse of ninjas, effortlessly. However, I have learned how to be a healthier, more confident person, through the process of learning how to defend myself.
There's also the community. I wasn't expecting to develop bonds and friendships with the people who put me in choke holds... but it happened. I've seen parents develop stronger connections with their kids. You also fight a lot of internal battles, and get to witness everyone else struggle with inner demons and then conquer them. Have you ever seen a 9 nine year old child conquer crippling stage fright? Knowing, as an adult, people who've struggled with that their entire lives? I'm not crying! You're crying!
And the instructors! 2 men, 2 women. All terrifying martial artists, as well as amazing people, and very skilled educators.

My family has been students here for almost nine months now and the time has flown by. We have really enjoyed learning from the Dysons, Ms. Pressley and Mr. Duck - they are all fantastic instructors. The classes are fast paced and do a great job of keeping the kids engaged. We started in the beginners class and quickly made the choice to join the black belt program thanks to the wonderful community at this location.

My boys joined at the recommendation of a friend in January 2022, and before I knew it, I was taking lessons, too. UpLevel wasn’t just another thing I played Dad Taxi for - it quickly became one of the most meaningful things in my life, because I could spend more time with my boys. I’ve made friends with my fellow Black Belt students, and so will you.
Mr. and Mrs. Dyson, Ms. Pressley, and Mr. Duck are outstanding instructors and people. You won’t be disappointed!

Love everything about this place. It’s like a home away from home. Originally I was just signing my son up for classes but after sitting in the observation area, and getting to know the instructors and being here, I signed up as well. Beyond worth it, everyone is super professional yet super friendly. Doesn’t matter what age, you feel welcome and you learn a lot. Recommend for anyone and everyone for sure

My daughter and I went in for a free class and came out with a membership. We looked forward to our classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and dubbed them “Mommy and Me” time. Mr.Dyson, Mr.Duck, and Ms.Pressley are all great instructors. Their interactions during class helps and make the class fun while learning. Although my daughter and I have to leave we will always remember Uplevel, our training, and our classmates.
