I reluctantly scheduled an appointment, as I hadn’t been to a hairdresser in a decade. But as SOON as I walked into Joi’s shop I knew I made the right decision in booking with her. She was so kind and a great conversationalist! On top of that, she dealt so carefully and lovingly with my hair (more than I ever have). I got a silk press and she made sure to trim where I felt comfortable without making me feel ashamed of what needed to be trimmed in the long term. She also made sure I knew how to maintain my press and suggested that I use flexi rods overnight for heatless curls.
