While the doctors are pretty good. The moment you enter they treat you like an inconvenience. Also, dont you have large enough outpatient surgical waiting rooms You are a huge hospital. Get yourself together.
The process of taking a loved one to pre-op is grueling!! You have to go through security and then you wait in line to get checked in by the surgeon’s staff, then the person waiting for the patient has to wait to check in again just to sit in the waiting room. Only 1 family member can go back to see the patient before surgery and they will not let people switch out to let in another family member! This is horrible! They instituted this with Covid and now they refuse to change it (according to nurse).
The waiting room has rather uncomfortable furniture and only sugary snacks to eat from a vending machine. No fresh coffee, tea, or water.

I can express how grateful we are to Carolinas, Medical Center and Levine Cancer Center. They provided exceptional care for a friend of ours. He ended up in the Levine Cancer’s ICU unit. They went above and beyond to help him. I would definitely give them a 10 out of 10.
